I had the same experience when trying to call them before our reservation date never got ahold of them also once arrived at carowinds the line to speak to someone is also like waiting in line for one of the costers, from what I observed they are only letting 1-2 people inside at a time for customer service.

Don't hold your breath. Customer service is Sub par for this park. They blame COVID-19 for all of their problems
The reservation is needed! They do have some days where they will let just pull ups in but if the day is sold out....like yesterday June 23rd you wouldn't be allowed in the park. They are so understaffed that they probably don't have enough people to handle customer service call volume
U don't need reservations. We didn't have any got in the park had a BLAST
I did the same and also got no response. I was worried about our season passes because it wouldn't let us activate them. But we went anyway with extra money and some choice words just in case lol. Everything was fine though. They scanned our passes and there was no problems. We had a great time. I would like to say that I would invest in a food pass though.
