No but I have seen it happen to others. Although it is extremely rare. Sounds like you were an outlier that day; that does not happen often.
It took a couple of minutes once but it was a shift change on a Monday.
I've been there once and didn't have a problem being served in a timely manner, had the nachos as well and they were delicious as was the wine. My date who is Type1 diabetic was told he had to leave his backpack with the doorman, after they searched it we were allowed to go in with it. Had a great time there!
No. I'm an Asheville native, and I've never had terrible service at The Bier Garden. BTW, I'd recommend ordering the pretzel trio when your server shows up! Also, the nachos are ginormous.
