You can do a walk in at the ID card section located in the Strom Thurman building on Strom Thurman Blvd from 0800-1100. To get through the gate you will have to go to the visitor control center to get a pass to gain access on the base.
You should be able to get thru the gate with driver license. Would that you call ID center before going they listed in the phone book.
