Is it true that dealerships can't sell you an ATV if you have kids who are not old enough to drive it? I tried to purchase a 90cc atv for my three kids to share, 13, 11, and 9. The salesmen said because I have a 9 year old he wouldn't sell it to me.

Jeremy, Thanks for your inquiry! Here at Power Lodge we are excited about the prospect of having kids safely enjoying the outdoors on their ATV’s. Ensuring that youth are riding the correct size machine is strictly regulated by the Federal Government. It is a violation of Federal Law for OEM’s (Polaris, Can Am, Suzuki, CF Moto, etc.) to sell ATV’s which will be used by youth who do not meet the age requirements. Therefore, it is against Federal law for dealerships to sell ATV’s to consumers who have been determined will not abide by those age limits. For more information about the safe operation of ATV’s please visiting http://www.atvsaftey.org Sincerely, Power Lodge
