A great little Roadside park along the Mississippi River, tucked into a patch of Oakwoods among a quiet neighborhood. Huge open spaces with lots of picnic tables and covered shelters. There are spaces for Tractor/Trailers and large campers. Plus automobile parking by the nice clean bathroom/information building. And additional parking lots along a small loop of a one way drive that connects all the shelters and table areas. Plus parking close to the river. There is a pet "exercise" area close to the entrance. There was lots of trash in this area, and all along the entrance, but my visit wasn't long after the thaw. Pets can be anywhere in the park ON LEASH when picnicking. But they prefer you only allow them to have a movement in the pet exercise area. And please clean up after your pet!

I love this rest stop! Its definitely my favorite.. Its at a beautiful area and there's a path to the Mississippi River that runs beside it. The loop to park your cars on is such a nice road that is lined with trees. There are very clean bathrooms and friendly custodians on site during the day. Its very well kept and the scenery is so lovely and the best part is that at night you can rest with no lights shining in your face. There are areas you can actually sleep in darkness...perfect!
