Tons of outdoor attractions there! Kayaking, walking, short easy bike trails, rentals available or byo for paddle boards, paddle boats, kayaks and canoes, restaurant, beach/ sand pit area picnic tables bring your own horse shoes or cornhole! Seasonal outdoor Movie theater and mini golf close by. But outside of the park there is nothing in Marion or within a 30 mile radius until you get to Abingdon/ Bristol Virginia... hope that helps!
The park itself has kayaking, canoes, paddle boats and paddle boarding, (bring your own or rent) A beach like front with slides and sand, there is lots of hiking to be done and some history to be seen. Molly's Knob is a fun hike through the woods. There are camping spots available and cabins if you prefer that to a tent or camper. Fishing, biking, nature walks and a visitor center, lodge and restaurant. Nearby are some other attractions such as a drive in theatre and river boating. In Marion there isn't much though when it comes to shopping and eating, though I hear that Dip Dogs are good.
Not really sure we only went to the park,I'm sure a Google search would give you an answer or try trip advisor
