Good Morning Aries Bunny, the AFC clinics are not equipped with Ultrasound machines, which are needed to detect a blood clot. We can send to outpatient imaging for this but if it is a blood clot, we cannot treat and monitor blood thinners and will refer to ER/vascular. Possible shortness of breath or blood clot in the chest needs ER immediately. The patient will need to be evaluated here for the outpatient ultrasound order first.
