are the pools and water park open?? also are there any convenient stores around in walking distance like shopping or grocery corner stores?????

I was there the end of December and the slides where open. There is various stores including a wawa within a 5 minute drive.

Pools were open. A quick Google search of the area will reveal a few spots. Slides were not open last week.
