We have been waiting for 3+ hours for a room to be cleaned. I was told that they just do not have the staff to clean the rooms needed. is this normal for this unit????

No that's unusual, however because discharges are unpredictable it's difficult to always have on hand the right staff to clean after say 20 surprise discharges in an hour. While getting to go home earlier than you and your doctor originally anticipated is a pleasant surprise for the patient, it is a challenge for dynamic staffing schedules :-) We love the folks at Clements and the housekeeping team is especially awesome and so thorough! When you do get your room it will be spotless!
