I was in the waiting room over 10 hours and asked one of the nurses for an update... Boy!!! She was the rudest peace of work in life. She was more worried about the YouTube video she was watching then helping patients. I was in the middle of explaining that I was in pain and she turned and started talking to a co-workers about her computer not working. Hello, nurse rudeness not pluggimg your phone into the company computer would be a good start. In the end I was in the ER for 12 hours and never saw a doctor. That was because when I got to the back to get help all the nurses and a couple of doctors we're busy chatting and gossiping about another worker. This was the longest I have ever been in anyone's ER. This was my first and last time going here.

Terrible ER, waited for 9 hours and then was way overcharged and they refuse to fix the bill. This hospital is a scam and operated with no oversight or protection for it patients. go anywhere else.

After seeing a number of docs elsewhere with no improvement, I went to Parkland ER. BEST MOVE EVER. Found a truly obscure problem, and got me in treatment. Yes, if you just have a cold or something relatively minor, don't go to ER. Go to Urgent Care. They have over 100 ER beds, but when they are backed up with colds or sore throats, you may have to wait.
This is a big hospital and they try our best to treat within less waiting time but some people come with attitude, rude , others ready to fight with nurses and doctors which is not necessary. Just follow protocol and make it easy for yourself and everyone else. Too must love for health care professionals.
Yes
No it is not sorry
All are accepted at Parkland Hospital. It's a patient first hospital
So you are the patient's family and you have proof, if they give you information about what is happening to you. Also, if you have Personal Information of the patient as well. Only if the patient asked the hospital not to give information to anyone, then they will not give any information about them.
I believe that do.... come to the emergency room
Yes. If your niece is a child/minor under 18 you should go to children's hospital across the street. If she's an adult the ER is currently allowing 1 visitor per patient while in the ER if in a room. But not while waiting in waiting room or in pod hallways due to infection control/ covid precautions.
no
Must have been a bad day.. Everyone has them
Yup but the problem is that it will take a long time for you to get out even when ur waiting
You need to go to your primary dentist. Most ERs don't have a dentist on sight. Parkland, will only give you painkillers. Something an urgent Care facility will do. If you go to the ER for a non life threatening issue, be prepared to wait a while. Hope this helps.
Parking is $5. Ask a friend to take you. Or ask to borrow $5. If you have friends that won't do either, it's time to reevaluate who you hang around. 🤷🏾♂️
This is a hospital, not a doctor's office. Go to an urgent Care clinic.
