The shelter that you were in could've helped with voucher. If you're in the community contact the Homebase in your zipcode.
Also there is multiple of homebase and they go by zip codes so you would have to call the one that's associated with your zip code in the Bronx call them and ask them which one is best convenient for you as well..and yes they do help out with shelter rent situation and many more assistance if you ever need it..I don't work there but I've gotten a lot help from homebase!!!!
