We have just paid off our car loan and received the Certificate of Title from the bank. Do we need to come in to get a new certificate of title that removes the Bank of America as the lienholder or can it be done on line?

You have two options, first one, you can go to your local county tag office and pay $18 and receive your new title without the lien via mail. Second option you can go to 4125 Welcome All Road. Bring your title and driver's license. The office hours 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Go early.

I think you have to go in because they have to verify the paperwork. Call them first to find out your options.
