Hi my son will be living a few months out of the year in Georgia. He will be using my car that is titled and insured in NJ. Do I have to register the car in Georgia and does he have get a Georgia Drivers license

Yes, all out of state cars have to be registered in the state of Georgia. It’s $100.00 for the inspection. The guy located in forest park, ga will not charge you if, the car fail. He will tell you to get the issue fixed then bring it back. Which you will be charged the $100.00. If the car is going to be in your name your son does not have to an Georgia license.

You go to the county where u live register the vehicle & pay tavt(taxes). What Karla said is only if the car is salvage title or rebuilt title. If the vehicle has a clear / original title you do not have to do that process.
