I'm a professional researcher in molecular biology. I would say it's highly advisable that you not go to NYC, unfortunately. 😕 Even if you don't get sick yourself, you might become an asymptomatic carrier and give it to another person who won't be able to fight it off. I would say just hunker down and not go to crowded places for now, stock up on food or have loved ones do it for you.
