how much is it for a manicure and do you have to make an appt.?

I just went there two days ago - they quoted me I believe it was $30 or $35 for a regular manicure; however, I wanted all the nick knacks and patty wacks for the first time in my life. All my girlfriends told me that acrylic nails with Shellac polish is $85-$120 (granted one goes to Scottsdale ...) Even when I arrived (as a walk-in) and asked the cost of this specifically she told me $55. I found I picture where the polish was airbrushed on and faded dark on tips. Apparently (according to them) this is very difficult to do and they actually make a special paint gun for this procedure. Honestly, I have never seen anyone with bails painted as simple but unique as mine. They did charge an additional $5 for using two different colors but what is$5 when you have gorgeous nails for I don't know yet ... 2 weeks,a month? Without touch-up? There was no massage of hands or lotions which kinda bummed me out but it may have been because I was late and it was after hours. Overall, I am happy
