Well they have no age limit really but a lot of the people are older people
We stopped there for 1 night Sept 2018. It happened to be Labor Day & we were invited to a BBQ. Bring a dish to share but not to worry if we couldn't. There was more than enough food! We enjoyed chatting with the staff & residents (permenant & temporary). Yes it is mostly retired people. What drew us to Butterfields is their Observatory & nightly star show. Being able to see the various stars & constellations left me speechless. The only downside is that their pool was under construction, but the bbq & star show made up for it! I would highly recommend Butterfields.

Wonderful. We've been looking online at this resort seriously to stay year round. Want to relocate to Arizona full time. We've been though Benson many times but haven't stopped.
