This is our 3rd time staying at this RV park. The first time would have been 10 years ago. It is a very clean and friendly RV park with some long term and park models in the back of the park. Staff is friendly and we have enjoyed the observatory program very much. Tom was the presenter this year and did an excellent job. He is very knowledgeable and totally enjoys what he is doing.

If you're making a stop for the Observatory, Don't. We stayed 3 nights, there was no wind on night 1 and they did not open the observatory, we were disappointed along with about 10 other people. Night 2 slight breeze but according to all 3 of our wind apps, nothing over 10mph for gusts, again did not open. Need to be very explicit on their website that they are unlikely to open the observatory. Otherwise it was ok. "Dog parks" are just fenced in gravel, no turf or grass. Pull through site was ok. Nothing special here except the Observatory and they do not open it most of the time. Will not return, which is unfortunate as we pass this area at least twice a year.

This is a beautiful, spotlessly clean park. Great staff and good area in this small town. The only thing to grump about is the listed WiFi is privately provided and you have to pay for all but the slowest limited option. Great place, would come back.

Nice resort, but... This place is nice, large and well kept. Easy to get to off the highway but the road is a bit bumpy. The sites are paved and pretty level. Most sites have a nice pine tree. Good WiFi. There are lots of amenities and it's a destination spot for snowbirds. We stayed only one night on our way through, planning to go to the observatory. They advertise they have an observatory open every day for guests, "weather permitting". Unfortunately, they require you to sign up in advance which we weren't aware of until we arrived in the afternoon. It was a clear night with a very slight (insignificant) breeze but the observatory never opened. Very disappointing!! This is why we chose to stay there. If the observatory is advertised as the big draw, it should be open! Also, the park is pretty close to a railroad track which is heavily used. And, for some reason, the trains feel they need to blow their horns 6-7 long blows every time. Quite annoying. Overall, the park is very nice but 2 very disappointing things.

It's around $30 but if you belong to Passport America or Good Sam or are a Veteran there are discounts. Very clean park but it's going through construction and the pool is going to be taken out and a new pool and spa will be built. Hopefully done by the end of July, 2018.
