I've never asked that question, however I think if you explain your situation they may have empathy and trust in you and take a payment plan, it wouldn't hurt to ask.

When i went i was told no. But i could apply for a pet credit card. It could be different now though, I would call and ask.
If they know you I believe so. I do know that they take credit cards.
