Yes. A trade in is a contribution towards your down payment. If it doesn't run and needs a lot of work why would ANY dealership want it? They don't have a budget to fix your junk, that's your responsibility. If they dump a bunch of money into fixing trade ins, the cost of ALL vehicles will go up so they can turn a profit. Call a scrap yard.
