What can I do about my receipts that git damaged in a car wreck? Can they be replaced so that I can still turn them in and get my money?

Yes, the receipts can be replaced once it verified that payment was not previously received.

I would say if the receipt is legible there's no reason why it shouldn't be honored. There's probably a gray area as there is with most everything.
