Is the dirt area east of the boat ramp used for launching canoes/kayaks?

You can, I see people use that area all the time. This lake is a treasure. Enjoy

People regularly use it for kayak launch but I do not think there is any official signage.

I use the ramp. But have a big kayak. You have the right to use ramp.

There are No signs not to and it looks like a great place to launch one so I would do I definitely!
