It was one time I had asked them about the gas station portion and they said that they usually turn it off and there's no attendant which makes no sense

That is a question i cannot answer. I am sure. There pumps are ad long as u have a credit card. Or debit card. I have never bought gas there. Sorry i could not be more helpfull.

It's all self service all the time, even when there is an attendant. You can ONLY use it if you have a current Sam's user card and a debit or credit card. No cash anytime.
