I'm trying to get my out of state vehicle registered in Tx, but there is no information out there as to what I need to do to get it registered. Do I just drive an hour there hoping I have all the documents I need? This is very frustrating.

You can visit the DMV website www.TXDMV.GOV for information, however you basically need. The title or registration from your other state, original Texas inspection and proof of insurance meeting Texas requirements.
