I have a sister that needs help getting around as she does not drive or have a car. She also has a food stamp card but has no way to get groceries. She has a prescription for medicine but has no way to get them also. Any ideas or services,?

If she has medicaid they link with taxi services to help with appointments. Theres transportation through transpo. 211 provides information about local resources and information on them.

Jamie's answer is dead on. Also, if they have/get doctors appointments at South Bend Clinic(they take most Medicare & Medicaid and are amazing doctors), they have a transportation service. If your sister uses Oaklawn services they also will pick her up and drop her off PLUS they have a full service pharmacy on the third floor of their South Bend office. It takes most insurance and even packages meds in individual time of day pouches if she is dealing with several different meds throughout her day. I hope this helps

If she's on Medicaid she should be able to get a cab
