I'd recommend leaving the 3 yr old with someone. The clues take some focus and concentration.
From their page: IS THERE AN AGE REQUIREMENT? The recommended age to play is 14 years and over. Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Anyone under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign a waiver.
Hmm I am not sure if a small child can accompany you. As for the puzzles, I did 1 with my coworkers and they are definitely not for small kids.
