I don't think they limit attendance. You only have to buy a ticket to one of the ticketed exhibits, otherwise it's free to visit.
Hi Judy, We don't limit attendance, but we do control the amount of people in the gallery at a given time to make sure it's not too crowded. We have experienced some lines for "Monet: The Late Years "so far. I encourage you to purchase a ticket in advance so you can skip the general admission line, especially if you are visiting on a weekend. If you are interested in a membership, you get in for free, and there is an expedited member line. The Permanent Collection is always free to visit, no ticket required. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Best, Madison
You only buy tickets for special exhibits.
I do not work there, but I always go early to any museum I visit. I had no problem even at the Louvre and the Rijkmuseum by showing up early. That has made it easy to get right in every time. Kimbell is a fairly good size museum as well. You also might give them a call with that question. Also, it is much easier to photograph exhibit pieces that I really like.
