Yes correct, there's a charge for entry. If you've never been I definitely recommend. If you don't like the crowds you should visit midweek.

Zoo lights are wonderful and worth the extra charge! $13 or $18 depending which day you go (w/o Dinos in the Desert admission) and is open 5:30 - 10:30.
