Not sure. Keep in mind folks we're a bit far from larger concentrations of those more practiced at ethic cooking. For where we are, this restaurant kicks rear ends in terms of competition.
I have to agree with the people that think it's because they are training new staff. Have you, or did you say something about it to their management? They need to know.
I went 2x in May and the service was horrible. Not going back.
I asked the same thing. The service is very poor. Was never that way in the past. It used to be one of my favorite restaurants
My husband and I are going to give it a whirl today. Let you know our thoughts.
I hsve been in there snd everytime i had the spicy noodles they were excellent. I think they are trsining nee staff snd getting ready for their move to the new place.
Not too sure. I am not a local, sure did like what I ordered though. Better than my favorite place at home.
I agree. When I discovered the restaurant I had recently spent a month in Thailand and this was the greatest thing ever as it was delicious and authentic. More recently - it's not just a little different, but very different. Still good, but nowhere near what it was when I first tried it at it's previous location. It's unfortunate.
My wife and i went to this place religiously for over a decade, mostly while on five mile road. Over the last 2-3 years every time i ordered the same dish ( pad Thai) i swore it was made by someone completely different with potentially different scallions and other veggies. Felt almost like it was microwaved too. Was literally my favorite restaurant but won't be wasting my time there anymore thinking it's a fluke. Something's definitely different. Rip =/
No change in ownership
Honestly ever since they moved this place has tried the hell out of my patience. They can't seem to have an open line to call on so if you want to go it takes luck and about 45 minutes to get through. The major issue though is the food has changed, and they have steadily made their to-go containers smaller and smaller. This last time was the final straw where not only is the curry container half the size it used to be...it's only half full. Its ridiculous to pay $16 for an order of curry and then get skimped on it. Even the rice container has shrunk. If you went by this place you'd assume jasmine rice must be $15-20 a lb. It used to be good money for a really good portion of food. Now you need to spend about $30 a person to get a good meal.
Not sure bur I echo those sentiments. Last time I was there the quality was not the same. Super bummed.
I know they've hired a lot of new staff because they're about to move to a larger location on Overland. That might have included a new cook. My dish, too, was noticeably different last time we were there.
Good question, we had some terrible service (unusual) there the last time we went but the dishes we ordered seemed the same.
