If i bought something monday do i need to physically return it and repurchase it to get the 20% discount tomorrow or can i just bring the reciept in and will big lots adjust the price as other stores do suches as value city and macys and target...

It depends on the store. They usually will do a price adjust with just receipt. But sometimes they can be a stickler. Call and ask to speak to store mgr. Keep name of that mgr. And follow their instructions. You can always ask to speak with district mgr.
