When you first cross the tracks, all of the ranges and fields on your left are managed by clubs, and the Kentucky fish and wildlife website has a calendar saying when these areas are open to the public. If you take a right on to wildlife road immediately after crossing the tracks, then you take the 2nd gravel road on your left and follow it back, there is a public shooting range that is open to everyone daily from dawn to dusk.
