Hi Linda - There are a number of places you can get this type of phone free of charge. A Google search for "free caption phone services" will give you a good list of options, including one through AARP. Be sure to understand the requirements for the phone to work in your setting, for example, do you need both a phone line and internet access?

I have seen these at Beltone Hearing in Eastgate. They are about $99 for the phone and the words show up digitally on screen. Cincinnati Bell may have similar devices.

You can look into getting a TTY device. Those are made specifically for the situation you've describe.
