I have worked at COA for a year. I have greatly enjoyed my time in the Elderly Services Program and have experienced great support and leadership within my department. COA offers attractive benefits, which are a big draw. In addition, COA offers a myriad of services for older adults, and I have found care managers to be knowledgeable of community resources.

Recently our family was faced with a situation pertaining to our grandmother and the lack of care she was receiving at her rehab facility. My grandmother has utilized services from Council on Aging over the years. Now faced with an unwanted situation we contacted COA for guidance and advice to get my grandmother the proper care she needed. Her case manager, Margo McMurray, was very responsive to our concerns. She offered a wealth of information, resources and guidance that in the end allowed us to move my grandmother into a better rehab facility. The fact that we had an attentive, caring individual to guide us during this stressful and emotional situation has put us at ease. We can not thank Margo enough and the Council of Aging for all their help. Thank you!

The intake specialists would be able to give you more information based on what they qualify for. The offices are open Monday- Friday from 8 - 4:30.
You can download the pdf from the website if you Google ohio poa, should bring it up rather easily. Both people need to sign and will have to get notarized.
Not in ohio. You'd have to see what KY has to offer.
If you are over 60 I believe if not it would be more of domestic violence. Either way please contact your police and go to the ER.
Call the Council on Aging directly.
7211025 for assistance
Hi Leonie - You do not need an appointment to talk to one of our representatives about our programs and services or to begin the process of finding out if you qualify for any of them. Please call us at (513) 721-1025 and select Option 2.
You apply by calling and giving your name to the intake person/ receptionist. From there there's a process that you have to go through. This process has alot to do with giving information, verifying information and then them determining if you are Eligible for services. Be persistent with your communication with COA.
If your mother refuses, that is her right to do so! No matter what he state of mind is, she still has rights...you could call in an obudsman and ask for ideas..but if your mother has Alzheimer's sadly most are terrified of water..so maybe try washing it yourself and see how she does...
Call 721 -1025 and complete a phone assessment. See which program he qualifies for.
You should contact Duke or People Working Cooperatively
Call the Health Department. They will come out investigate, take pictures. In most cases the problems are resolved at the Housing Management's expense.
Hi Linda - There are a number of places you can get this type of phone free of charge. A Google search for "free caption phone services" will give you a good list of options, including one through AARP. Be sure to understand the requirements for the phone to work in your setting, for example, do you need both a phone line and internet access?
Call 721 1025 and give the persons nane
