They do not. I looked a few months ago and could not find a place that takes them for free anymore. Best I could find was a charity that will charge you to take them, but at least it's going to a good cause.
if you live in addison, they take them for free on Sat. from 8:00 to 12. I've never had anyone check to see if I was a resident. It's on addison road.
TV's are a pay to dispose item. We do not take them, your best bet is to find a community recycling event. Most municipalities organize such events periodically and often will dispose of them free of charge . Good luck
You can google "TV recycling in Chicago" there's a few that pop up, one even said they would do pick ups. Check it out, hopefully that helps :)
