There are several ways to access a SkyClub. Membership through Delta Air Lines, Traveling Internally with a SkyTeam partner if you are fkying in Business or First Class or have Elite status with SkyTeam, cardholder of an Anerican Express Reserve Credit Card, cardholder of American Express Platinum card or you can purchase a single entry pass for $59. You also could be 'guested' in free by a person who meets one if the previous qualifiers listed.
Okay, if you don't sign up online and pay, you can guest it for a fee. If you are on a long layover and simply cannot deal with the plebians pay the fee. The respite from chaos is worth the money, after all you would prob spend that amount in a bar drinking the stress away.
Otherwise you can pay a fee which is reduced for AMEX card holders. Traveling intl business class on allied airlines with Delta or Delta club members.
Delta Gold, Delta Platinum, ONLY American Express Platinum.
Get an American Express Business platinum card and along with your boarding pass, entry is free. Not sure if gold cards work or personal cards but maybe. I fly Delta a lot more now thanks to this perk.
I would say, it has been very clearly answered by John O'Gorman
You can pay for a one day pass. I think it's like $60. But you get comfortable seating, help with ticketing, free food and booze... well worth it if you have a long layover.
You have to be a member to use the Sky Club.
