I have a flight to DEN from PHX on American Airlines. I have a connecting flight to DTW, but it's on Spirit Airlines. How much of a distance is it from American Airlines Gates to Spirits? Will I have to go back through security?

You only have to go back through tea of you exit the airport. If you are only changing planes you never leave the already secured area

As far as i know you wont have to go thru it more than once i think once you pass thru TSA you can go anywhere

Its a small airport you should get to your connecting flight with no problem

As far as the gates you need to check out the airport map. TSA security only if you go outside

For connecting flights you do not have to re enter a security checkpoint.
