You cannot bring it into the cabin. And you won't get through screening if you try.

You can take it as checked luggage but you need to declare it at baggage check in. Most likely TSA will want to examine the knife.

You can pack it in your checked bag but definitely not in your carry-on. Just know that even your checked back is subject to being searched so don't be surprised if it comes back to you with a tag or tape that indicates it has been opened and searched. They most likely will leave the knife alone but make sure it is packed and positioned so that it doesn't hurt anyone that might search the bag.

According to Transportation Security Administration (TSA) guidelines, travelers can pack knives, pocket knives and Swiss army knives in their checked bags if necessary, but they may not bring them onboard the plane in their carry-on luggage.
