Not often I'm assuming it was a snowstorm warning on 10/24 my sisters plane left and made it to Nashville.
They temporarily stop inbounds if they can't make it in due to low clouds or lack of equipment on the aircraft. You might take a delay for out bound if you have to device. Most planes aren't allowed to take off in heavy snow fall but that doesn't last long. Their snow team is top notch and cleans up the place pretty fast so maybe delayed or slowed down, but rarely if ever closed. And if airport is referring to the passenger terminal I've never heard of it closing.
