Why does the catholic church require a baptism certificate before marriage in a catholic church? If you cannot find the certificate or none was issued by the church where you were baptised, what are my options to get married in a catholic church?

I'd recommend talking to the pastor of the church where you want to get married

You can probably get a conditional baptism. Baptism is what makes us Christians, it's the first sacrament which paves the way for receiving the graces of all the other sacraments.
