What is the difference between the Dept of Neurology and the Clinical Neurosciences Center? My daughter has migraines, severe insomnia, blackouts (10+ per day), and is starting to lose her ability to differentiate colors. Who should we see?

The referral from your Primary Care Provider is huge. Just be persistent and make sure whoever they refer you to is covered by your insurance. To answer your question, I believe you'll want to see a specialist in Department of Neurology.

Fastest way to proceed is to get her primary care physician to write a referral to whichever physician can best help her. Those referrals cut down on waiting time by a lot! In my experience, it can be the difference between 6 months of additional waiting and whether or not you get assigned to the right doctor for your specific case. Best of luck.
