Hi Jeff, When you say don't open do you mean from inside the car? If so there are child locks that may be on. Look inside the door by the latch and you will see them. If that is not it stop by and we will have a quick look.

Could be from the lock not disengaging, the handles being broken as far as the mechanics go on the inside of the door, latch not disconnecting from the catch pin, etc... Just a couple quick ideas. Without looking at it, it can be hard to tell, but I'm not a mechanic either, just another guy who likes fixing his own stuff if he can.
