Not for a couple of years now. The city cut down the tree on the west side of the pond after the last fatality. There's a definite thermocline in the pond, with the deeper water being cold enough to shock swimmers who are unprepared for it.
Johnathon is 100% correct. The swing was removed due to a deadly accident. There was also a huge issue with injuries when the water levels drop later in the year. The water is extremely cold in the spring and early summer, too low and still fairly cold in the late summer months.
