Is there free parking for visitors

I thought parking in the ER wasnt free anymore

Depends on where you go. The ER has free parking. There is a parking garage that costs about 5 dollars after 30 minutes. (Before that its free.) Make sure you pay in lobby before exiting building. Also you could park across the street at the forest preserve for free. I've never left my car unattended though. I usually wait there for my fiance to get done so parking is free. Never been bothered for doing that.there is also a paid parking near the main hospital (not near the ER) that has the same parking policy as the garage. Sometimes though you can get lucky and not have to pay.
