I prefer Red Roof Inn, but their prices recently increased some. I believe they are still the lowest price, for a decent night's sleep this side of the river. Also, consider the Air bnb app.

The less expensive hotels are all going to be in that same area. But with the expressway it's a pretty quick drive.
