No strapping in but you can't really fall off. If I heard someone fell off, I would argue they jumped off ..even if I wasn't there to see.
You won't fall off you are not strapped either it's actually pretty fun I had a blast and the first 10 mins I was having trouble with it turned out to be pretty pretty pretty cool especially at night
