Why can't Walmart put more caschiers in their stores we have started going to other stores because it takes so long to checkout i have been standing in line now for 24 minutes this is ridiculous

As long as people happily go to self check out they wonr have but a cashier for tobacco and maybe one or two cashiers. If peoole refused the self check out they would bring them back. Now they have sekf checkouts on both ends 2 sets on the food side and 1 on pharmacy side. So 2 to 3 cashiers has replaced 2 dozen cashiers who were laid off unable to provide for their families now. As long as we happily use computers for convience they will gladly provide them. Just lile the order kiosk in mc donalds and other places. They are fast food places alrwady automated in washington with that fight for 15 bs. Only need 2 employees to put food in the machine and clean the store. The machine takes order, takes money and makes wraps bags and hands you the food. And paid for itself in under 2 years, no paychecks, no beneifts insurance, no peoooe to call in sick or not show up. It wont quit in the middle of sbift, wont make smashed burgers, even ups and fed ex are making deliveries in autonomous trks
