"This place" Holy Land opened in 1955. A lawyer was the one who started it. It closed for renovations in 1984. You can read the story of Holy Land on Google.
Ok thanks. Are there spirits?
The lit up cross is up in Holy Land. It says closed, no trespassing but you can still walk in. I have been there a few times to walk up to the cross and everytime I go I see plenty of other pple walking around the paved walkway/road to the cross.... young and older folks as well. Just follow the pavement up to the top and you will see the cross. It's beautiful! As long as your being respectful and its daytime you shouldnt have a problem.
Yes, the cross lit up is part of Holy Land. The people restoring it repaired the light function but the cross was always there since the 70's when the amusement park was open. They are working on removing graffiti and repairing the destruction people did to the park.
From what I know there is no intention of reopening. When I went there was actually a catholic school there, so the gates were open but technically it's not open to the public
It is! It used to be a park of sorts. There's miniature replicas of Bethlehem & Jerusalem & you used to be able to walk through to experience the life & times of Jesus. It's closed everything much-needed repairs, etc.
