Why has the Gardnerville food bank decided to no longer put extra food out for the public? Will they now just throw that food out. That just seems WRONG. How about the people that live in their cars or people that use that as a supplement?

One has to drive up to get the public distribution. It is still available.

They used to leave stuff even after they were closed. I thought food pantries had more programs and things for purchasing people food and household items. I mean especially for those going there all the time. I guess they don't just buy groceries anymore. I thought they also did something with fresh fruits and veggies but maybe I'm just thinking of another lifetime. Sometimes it's good to throw out stuff especially if it is past experation or just not good. And didn't the canned food warehouse used to have their own version of food stamps?
