Frontier has been very reliable for me, but remember that there is often only one flight a day, or even alternate days, so there's no fall back position for missed fights or equipment problems. Also, airport seems safe with LOTS of police around.
I flew out of Trenton on Frontier and i had a great experience. Its small, no lines and no fuss. Easy

Frontier is pretty reliable but flights can be delayed due to low priority airport/airline, proximity to Philadelphia. The parking lot odds very safe in a good neighborhood. You shouldn't have any issues. I've never flown spirit but from what I've heard I'd rank frontier a little higher.
