They told us 30 days and we could get a different dog if that did not work out. You can surrender the dog anytime back to them but you will lose your money. I agree with the others. It can take time to find the right one. Do research to see what breeds you might like.
Please don't let anyone shame you into keeping a pet which is clearly a mismatch; for your sake and the innocent pet's sakes. Give yourself credit for having the love in your heart to even having considered pet adoption. Remember donations are , I am sure, always welcomed. Do your research. Even then, consider your lifestyle and finances. It can be heart breaking to go thru the pet return process, but perhaps soon thereafter the perfect adopter could walk in and be a better fit. Assuming no prior abuse, pets are generally more adaptable and stronger than we are.
Yes, because the welfare of the animal is that important to them. Forgive the preaching, but before adopting an animal, just give it some thought, specifically about the combination of the animal's personality with that of yourself and family, if that applies.
Yes but they do there best to make a good match.
good info here
Make sure to read all of the paperwork. 30 day then a return fee. Also make sure to spend time with the dog (not after just being walked and maybe a few visits) and not alone to see interactions with other dogs and on leash walking with distractions. Needless to say be careful when not getting a true puppy.
Yes
