You need the Empire Pass on weekends, otherwise I believe it is free. It's a wonderful place, not a lot of people. No services to speak of.
This is referred to as Golden Park, which is only valid during the week (not weekends or holidays). Show toll booth person your license so they can check your birth date, and you will have free admittance
